The former chief executive of the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency, Priscilla Atkins, is suing the organisation over her termination in February.

Ms Atkins claimed she saw Ms Rosas signed it in June 2020, before it was set to expire, while Ms Rosas claimed she had no recollection of doing so.Priscilla Atkins, who has headed NAAJA for 15 years, has been locked in a dispute with the board since the end of last year. Both her and the board have denied any wrongdoing.During cross-examination on Monday, barrister for NAAJA Robyn Sweet KC put to Ms Atkins that she then threatened to sue Ms Rosas.
On November 28, 2022, the board notified her that she had been suspended on full pay, before she was notified of her dismissal by Ms Rosas on January 19.Ms Atkins has alleged she was dismissed after raising complaints of corruption against Ms Rosas and NAAJA's chief financial officer Madhur Evans. The trial is scheduled for two weeks, with a number of witnesses — including Ms Rosas — expected to give evidence later this week.
