The court heard Wootton had a low likelihood of reoffending after being treated by a psychologist for depression, anxiety and stress.A former Sydney police officer who admitted to installing a GPS tracker on a woman's car and shattering her phone after another man "pecked" her on the cheek has avoided jail.
The former police officer was convicted of recklessly damaging property, using a tracking device without consent and stalking. On a separate occasion, the court also heard that Wootton squeezed the woman's phone so tightly that it shattered after she admitted that a different man had kissed her on the cheek after a party.
