A grand jury has indicted a former police officer on criminal charges, six months after Breonna Taylor was fatally shot in Kentucky.

The jury presented its decision against fired police officer Brett Hankison on Wednesday to a judge in Louisville, where the shooting took place.The state of Kentucky has implemented a curfew from 9:00pm in anticipation of unrest. Ms Taylor was shot multiple times by officers who burst into her home executing a 'no-knock' warrant on March 13, during a narcotics investigation.Protesters across the United States have demanded justice for Ms Taylor and other black people killed by police in recent months.
