Police investigate as two armed men shot by police in separate incidents
Four children hid in a backyard and their mother locked her “erratic” husband out of the home moments before he allegedly launched himself at police with a weapon and was shot.
“There had been a rapidly evolving domestic situation ... between his wife and himself prior to him entering the garage,” he said. The man then lunged towards the officer with the implement, Massingham added. The officer then fired his gun a second time, striking the offender on the left shoulder. In a separate incident only a few hours earlier, another man armed with a knife was also being investigated after he was shot by police.
