Mother and four children escape Brisbane home where man was shot by police, union says
It was the second police shooting in the south-east on SundayPolice said they received calls about an armed man at an address in Stretton around 7pm on Sunday."Police have arrived at the scene, tried to negotiate again with the male person who has then come at them," Queensland Police Union President Ian Leavers told the ABC on Monday.
"They had no other option than to use their firearm. He then got up again and continued to come at police. They shot him again and then police immediately used their tactical first aid kits and rendered first aid."Mr Leavers said a woman and four children had escaped the home before contacting police.
