Four people are in a critical condition after being struck by lightning outside the White House on Thursday night.
Officers from the United States Secret Service and the US Park Police witnessed the lightning strike the four victims in Lafayette Park just before 7pm on Thursday.
"At 6.52pm D.C. Fire and Ems received a report of a lightning strike in Lafayette Park with multiple patients," D.C Fire and EMS Department spokesman, Vito Maggiolo, said on Twitter. Picture: Diego Cambiaso / EyeEm / Getty Images.
