A manhunt is underway for a gunman who shot another man just metres from a children’s birthday party in western Sydney. 7NEWS
A woman, who was in the backyard where a jumping castle was set up, was picking up a girl after the shots rang out.A family celebrating a little girl’s birthday heard the shots.“He had holes all through him, all through his arms and legs, even one in his head,” Mr Taylor said of the victim.“When I stepped over the fence, looked at me, looked down at and then continued to fire on him.”
The victim - a 39-year-old man - was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taking to Westmead Hospital.The gunman got away in a silver SUV.Police established a crime scene and believe the shooting was targeted. As the gunman remains on the run, anyone with information about the incident or a silver SUV used as a getaway car is urged to come forward.
