Experienced hillwalker Francis Johnson was last seen at a campsite on Skye over two weeks ago.
Francis Johnson, 74, travelled from his home in Dorset to Skye to hillwalk in the area and was last seen at the Glenbrittle camping site on Skye on Wednesday, September 6. The experienced walker and camper has not been seen since and his camping equipment and car are still on site.
The search for Francis will continue today, Saturday, September 23, led by Mountain Rescue teams from Cairngorm, Kintail and Skye, Search & Rescue Dog Association and with air support from R948. It is believed that Francis may have come to Scotland with the specific aim of attempting the following peaks: Sgurr nan Eag, Banachdich, Bruach Na Frithe, and Blaven.
