A frantic search has been launched to trace a missing pensioner who has been reported missing from a Scots town two days ago.
Police say Norman Stewart, 85, vanished from from Yarrow Terrace in Hawick at around 4pm on Thursday, September 21. Officers are appealing to anyone with information to come forward as his family are becoming 'increasingly concerned' for his welfare. Norman is described as being 5’8” in height, of a medium to large build, with short dark hair, and has short dark grey hair, a stubble beard and a moustache. He wears glasses and speaks with a broad Borders accent.Top news stories today Inspector Telford from Peebles Police Station says, "Norman has been missing for several hours now; this is entirely out of character for him, and his family are understandably worried about him. We have several police resources out looking for Norman.
"If you believe you have seen Norman or have any information, please get in touch with 101, quoting incident no. 3708 of the 22/09/2023."
