A French pole vaulter’s Olympic gold medal dreams have gone up in smoke after part of his crotch hit the bar on his third attempt at clearing the 5.70m height.
French pole vault er Anthony Ammirati 's Olympic gold medal dreams came crashing down after his bulge brought the bar crashing down.
Viral footage circulating X, formerly Twitter, showed the Frenchman’s member catching the bar on his way down, bringing his gold medal hopes with him and great amusement to quippy commenters. Though social media users saw the humorous side to the pole vaulter's demise, Ammirati was devastated, appearing visibly upset after being knocked out.
