Police say they were faced with a "traumatic" crime scene after a man and woman were found dead in their home in Brisbane's south this morning.
A 49-year-old man was taken into custody after alerting police to the incident in the home on Coolidge Court in Stretton around 9.40am on Monday.The victims are yet to be identified but police confirmed the man, believed to be in his early 20s, and woman, believed to be in her 40s, are of Cantonese descent.
"The scene is quite traumatic in terms of a large amount of blood that is present and from the evidence in that area and the weapons that were seized and the observations of the deceased, it was quite accurate the attack could be described ," he said. Massingham said the 49-year-old man had received first aid and was transported to a Brisbane hospital this morning for treatment of arm and leg injuries.
