An adviser to the Ukrainian President has responded after it was suggested Kyiv was responsible for the car bombing that killed the daughter of a prominent Vladimir Putin ally - as residents of the war-torn country have been warned of revenge attacks.
Government employees have been told to work from home this week amid heightened tensions between the two nations ahead of Ukraine's Independence Day celebrations.Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, denied Kyiv was involved in the bombing death of Dugina.
The Ukrainian military also warned Russia has placed five cruise missile-bearing warships and submarines in the Black Sea while air defence systems have been put in position in neighbouring country of Belarus. "One of the key objectives of the enemy is to humiliate us and to sow despondency, fear and conflict but we have to be strong enough to resist all provocation."
