Matthew Perry fans are enraged over a former SNL writer’s tweets mocking the late “Friends” star’s death.
Kevin Brennan linked to a news story about Perry’s death and tweeted, “DROWNED IN A HOT TUB. HAHAHAHA.”
He doubled down on his so-called joke in a follow-up tweet denying that he poked fun at Perry’s tragic passing but added, “I just thought it was funny. But I do love it when junkies die.”“Definition of a pathetic attempt to get attention right here. I didn’t know you existed until today and I can see why,” responded one user.Another tweeted, “What the hell is wrong with you? You’re a pathetic little loser of a man.
Others called Brennan, 63, “disgusting” and “gross” for his tweets while others described him as an “irrelevant hack.”“Funny thing is, if you drowned in a bowl of cereal, you still wouldn’t be a headline.
