Members of WA Police's gang crime squad fly north to investigate the alleged bashing of an ex-bikie by four members of the Rebels bikie gang.
WA Police say they are "likely" to charge four members of the Rebels bikie gang over the alleged bashing of a former member in the state's north.Police say the incident occurred in a trucking yard leased by a haulage companyPolice allege the gang members assaulted the man in a trucking yard in Karratha's local industrial area on Wednesday night.
"We're searching for forensic evidence in relation to the assault and anything else that we find that's not meant to be here," he said.The ABC understands the land around the trucking yard is rented by a haulage company owned by a Rebels member."We currently have four Rebels members, three from Karratha and one that's up from Perth and we're conducting enquiries with them at the minute," he said.
Senior Sergeant Blaine said police were still investigating the reason behind the assault, but he understood the victim had recently been expelled from the gang.He says the police are committed to dismantling outlaw motorcycle gangs in the region.
