A vengeful landscape gardener is believed to have left booby traps for people he had problems with before he died. 9News

“Investigations found that in both cases Bernhard Graumann is suspicious. He had a personal or business connection with the victims. Graumann did not have a good relationship with these people. In both cases there had been previous conflicts," police said in a statement.

Another rigged fireplace log was found later on Wednesday in a woodpile at the home of a woman in a different town who had clashed with Mr Graumann, police said.Mr Erfort wouldn't comment on media reports that Mr Graumann is believed to have killed himself, saying autopsy results were not expected until next week. He did say there was no sign of foul play.

Police investigated a suspicious object at the home of a person who had been in an argument with Mr Graumann, but it turned out to be a false alarm.
