Germany's Bundesliga plans its return from lockdown as football world watches

"That will be quite hard to play in an empty stadium for a league match. You miss that atmosphere," Borrello said from his home in Freiburg in Germany's south-west. "We don’t know about the long-term effects of an illness with COVID-19," Professor Uwe G Liebert, a virologist, told the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung newspaper.
"According to the GFL concept, they would require around 20,000 tests around the league to see the season to the end," Matt Ford, sports reporter for Deutsche Welle told the ABC from Bonn, Germany."The league's argument is that they're not actually taking any tests away from anybody at the moment," Mr Ford said.
