Whether it's stoking discontent between Zelensky and Ukraine's far-right or undermining the Biden presidency, media propaganda is quickly replacing missiles as Moscow's primary weapon against the West, writes strategic policy analyst Dr. Alexey Muraviev.

But due to a combination of fear and desperation, Vladimir Putin is still rolling out trump card after trump card – intent on delivering a decisive end to the conflict.

Putin’s other trump card is the sustained propaganda operation he has levelled at both domestic and foreign audiences. The trophies on display were supposed to convince Western taxpayers and decision makers that the ongoing aid to Kyiv would not result in Ukraine’s military success. More recently, concerns were raised that major European powers were in fact cutting back on their military support to Ukraine at a time when the war had reached a critical point.

Scores of Russian and foreign journalists were bussed into Olenivka to inspect the scene of devastation and horror. The ongoing public criticism of Joe Biden and the recent FBI raids on Trump’s Florida mansion have generated a lot of sympathetic commentary in Russia’s media space.
