The Met Office has issued a high UV warning amid the UK heatwave ☀️
Much of the UK is now experiencing a heatwave with temperatures soaring across the country.has issued a red and amber weather warning for parts of the UK, Glasgow alone is set to see highs of nearly 30C., the city will see highs of 28C today followed by another high of 29C before it drops below 20C on Wednesday.However due to the scorching figures, train travel has been delayed with many services being cancelled. As well as this, people are now being told to travel only if they need to.
As a result of ongoing issues - including weather and staffing problems - some Glasgow services have been affected. This morning Avanti West Coast tweeted people should only travel if their journey is "absolutely necessary".
