A street in Glasgow has been locked down and residents evacuated as a 'bomb squad' descend on the scene after a 'suspected' item was discovered inside a back garden.
Emergency services raced to Banavie Road just after 12pm on Tuesday, September 12. The street reportedly remains cordoned off. Police Scotland confirmed the explosive ordnance disposal unit are on their way to the scene. Multiple residents have been evacuated from their homes. A spokesperson said: "Around 12.05pm on Tuesday, 12 September, 2023, police were called to a property in Banavie Road, Glasgow, following the discovery of suspected ordnance in a back garden."The EOD are on their way and a cordon is in place.
