Ratepayers in the south-east Queensland city will see a 4.3 per cent rates rise in what the mayor called his 'toughest budget' in a decade, adopted unanimously by councillors this morning.
Mr Caldwell said the theme of this year's budget was "safe and sustainable".
Road repairs, cycleways, bridgeworks, and pedestrian pathways will total $285.6 million of the outlay.
