The Federal Government accuses the NSW Telco Authority of 'not correctly describing' why a new emergency services broadband network has been delayed.
The authority told the hearing the network could dramatically improve the ability for police, fire and rescue and volunteer firefighting services to share real time information on an active emergency.
"The concept of 'a picture tells a thousand words' certainly applies, I think, to this kind of technology." "The NSW Telco Authority has not correctly described the situation," a spokesperson for the minister said.
