“And I would say to Australians watching right now, if you have any relatives in Israel … and they would like to return to Australia, make sure they have registered with the Embassy in Israel," Ms O’Neil told Sky News Australia. “And the Australian government is working through the logistics of how to assure the safe return of Australians."
Ms O’Neil added she feels"really saddened” by Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s attempts to turn the matter into a “political issue". "The government is incredibly focused on what is a very important national security situation for our country."
