Owner JP McManus has confirmed riding plans for his team, with Paul Townend on the Mullins-trained I Am Maximus and Mark Walsh choosing Limerick Lace over Meetingofthewaters, who will be the mount of Danny Mullins.After Monday's confirmation stage, 51 entries remain in the race, with the 34 top-rated horses making the final field.
Shakem Up'Arry, a winner at the Cheltenham Festival last month for owner Harry Redknapp, needs several withdrawals to stand a chance of running. After Cheltenham, British Horseracing Authority chief executive Julie Harrington said the domination was "damaging" the sport and said more needed to be done to encourage the top horses to be bred, owned, trained and raced in Britain.

2024 Grand National: Weather forecast for Aintree RacecourseThe 2024 Grand National will take place next week, with the thousands of spectators attending hoping for dry weather. The festival launches with Grand National Thursday on April 11, before Ladies Day on Friday, April 12 and Grand National Day on Saturday, April 13, when the famous steeplechase will take place.
