Queensland Greens MP Michael Berkman has accused Labor of copying the minor party’s policies and funnelling more money into ousting it than tackling the LNP after a grim performance at the state election.

Picture: Lachie Millard/News Corp “They managed to hang on to some inner-city seats by partially copying Greens policies and pouring more resources in keeping us out than they did in challenging the LNP and as a result we’ve got a conservative government in Queensland now.”
Saturday night’s election came as a disappointment for Federal Employment and Workplace Minister Murray Watt, but he noted the Greens’ performance gave Labor hope of gaining seats it and the Coalition lost to the minor party at the 2022 election. “People voted for the Greens, both at state and federal level, expecting to see progressive solutions delivered,” Mr Watt said.
