Victoria's Deputy Chief Health Officer says health officials are trying to find the links between a growing cluster of COVID-19 cases in Melbourne's south-east. There are currently 33 active cases in the area and residents are being urged get tested at three new testing sites.
Victoria's Deputy Chief Health Officer says health officials are trying to find the links between a growing cluster of COVID-19 cases in Melbourne's south-east.Professor Allen Cheng said the cluster was concerning and contract tracing was underwayThere are now 34 cases of COVID-19 linked to the Hallam and Casey areas, including 33 active cases, according to figures from the Department of Health and Human Services.
He said it was not always easy to get a person's story out of them the first time they were interviewed. "They have to go back into their phone book and try and work out who they've been talking to," he said.
