They’ll be announcing their results fairly soon.“He was pretty clear in the way he said it,” Roberts pointed out. “I saw the statement, I called him, I said, ‘What did you mean by that?’ And I think he just made a mistake. He just made a mistake. I think he misunderstood the question, probably.”

“I trust vaccines. I trust scientists. But I don’t trust Donald Trump. At the moment, the American people can’t either,” Mr Biden said today. “And if the scientists say a vaccine under the President’s watch is safe and effective, should people take it?” a reporter asked.Journalists also asked Mr Trump about Dr Redfield’s advice on masks.

Lest you think I’m cutting Mr Trump’s sentences off, here is the full exchange he’s referring to from“The wearing of masks has proven to lessen the spread of COVID. Why don’t you support a mandate for national mask wearing, and why don’t you wear a mask more often?” one of those voters, Julie Bard, asked.“But I will say this. It would be 'naive' to count Trump out | Sky News AustraliaIt would be 'naive' to count Trump out | Sky News AustraliaDonald Trump could win re-election if polls in key battleground states are as inaccurate as they were in 2016, according to the United State Studies Centre CEO Simon Jackman.\n\nMr Jackman said the US Studies Centre has commissioned a study that looks at current polling in 11 key battleground states based on past polling errors.\n\nAccording to the findings, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has a 65.1 per cent of winning the November 3 election.\n\nWhile national polls in 2016 were not wildly incorrect, many state polls systematically underestimated Donald Trump's support.\n\nFormer Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton won the popular vote in 2016 but narrowly lost a string of states, most notably in America's rustbelt.\n\nMr Jackman told Sky News while Mr Biden is leading President Trump, there is a chance the polls are incorrect.\n\n'There is one thing that speaks well for the polls this cycle and that is the historically low number of undecided voters,' he said.\n\n'Something that tricked pollsters up (in 2016) was the fact that this far out, about 50 days out, as many as nine to ten per cent were saying they didn't know...a lot of people couldn't make up their mind who to vote for...undecided voters are now at historic lows.\n\n'We say, hey, let's just remember how wrong those polls were in 2016, let's keep that in our backpocket when we interpret these polls, and once you do that, you see a race that is a lot closer than a current naive or face value reading of the current polls might suggest.'
