Maguire took Haas’s game to new heights during Origin where the powerhouse prop had been criticised for not stepping up in the past, and he hopes the former Blues boss can do more of the same for a Broncos side that failed to make the top eight. The recent past has been littered with off-field issues at the Broncos, an area Maguire is keen to rectify and Haas said words from Carney, who had his career cut short in its prime due to a string of off-field misdemeanours but has since turned his life around and has a new job as a Gold Coast Titans pathways coach, resonated.“It could really affect your career ...
