Harry Charlesworth just bought a $705,000 one-bedroom Sydney apartment at the age of 22 without any help from his parents.

Harry Charlesworth just bought a $705,000 one-bedroom Sydney apartment after laying down a 10 per cent deposit at the age of 22.Harry Charlesworth, 22, bought an apartment in Elizabeth Bay for $45,000 below the amount the owner paid in 2020.Mr Charlesworth grew up on the Sunshine Coast and worked in hospitality all through high school.

Mr Charlesworth, currently renting in Bondi, plans to live in the Elizabeth Bay apartment for a year before renting it out. He’s confident of paying off the mortgage, despite the RBA on Tuesday announcing a second double0.5 percentage point rate rise, taking the cash rate from 0.1 per cent to 1.35 per cent in three months.

Mr Charlesworth bought his apartment in late May, but says there are still plenty of good deals out there.
