Homeowners who sold properties worth more than $1.5million last year were actually the unhappiest with their sale amount, figures have shown - with NSW, which has some of the priciest property- the most unhappy state in Australia.

Overall, property sellers living in metro areas were much more glum about their sales figure than those in regional areas.Hornsby in NSW was Australia's unhappiest area for sale prices, while sellers in Clarence, Tasmania, were happiest with what their property went for.Sellers were asked if their sale price was above, in line with, or below their expectations.
