Baggage handlers at the airport had planned to walk out at the weekend in a dispute over pay.

Heathrow Airport is in the middle of a huge recruitment campaign in order to prepare for the high number of travellers expected this summer.
The airline industry was badly damaged during the pandemic, with Heathrow airport calling 2021 the "worst year in its history". It also said it saw a slow start to 2022 as a result of the Omicron variant and remaining travel restrictions.
