The heaviest rain is likely to be between Sydney and the eastern Victoria and as far inland as Canberra. Picture: Sky News Weather.A cold front is charging through South Australia, Victoria and southern parts of New South Wales today and tomorrow and that will bring showers to a wide area.

However, they’re also cunning blighters to pin down. Next week’s system could be an east coast low – if it lingers around the coast – or if it drifts out to sea it could become a Tasman low which has a lesser effect. At this point, though, it does look like it will turn towards the coast and in particular the NSW south coast betweenAn east coast low is still on the cards for early next week. Picture: Sky News Weather.Wollongong is looking at up to 80mm of rain on Tuesday, following 40mm on Monday. Batemans Bay could see 60mm on both days.
