The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed the weather system is developing off Queensland's south-east coast and will bring rain and winds from Wednesday.
"The greatest impacts will be on the Queensland coast but it will produce showery conditions, strong winds and large waves along the northern NSW coast," BoM wrote, adding northern NSW should feel the affects of the system by Friday.The East Coast Low will likely develop from Friday, bringing a spate of rainy and windy days to Queensland and NSW.
Initial modelling from Weatherzone forecasts widespread falls between 60mm and 80mm along the coasts of both states.Modelling shows there could be widespread falls between 60-80 mm along the NSW and Queensland coast.With the rain event days away, the weather service said they will post more updates as they come.
