New offerings aim to entice institutional investors to cryptocurrency investments against the backdrop of sharp declines in the value of popular digital tokens.
A US hedge fund is braving this year’s sharp decline in the value of cryptocurrencies to launch two investment strategies aimed at reducing the volatility inherent in digital tokens.
The portfolios will use artificial intelligence to identify periods of climbing value for up to 40 cryptocurrencies and try to avoid losses by shorting coins when technical factors indicate near-term selling pressure. Mr Gokhman is one of a wave of investment management professionals who have shifted away from the traditional centre of the industry focused on stocks and bonds to instead manage portfolios of digital currencies.
