Local photographer David Rogers had received a tip-off that there might be orcas in sight, and quickly rushed out."I was lucky to be able to capture the holy grail of whale watching — eight different orcas off Merimbula." "In all my time going out every day and photographing whales, I've never seen a killer whale," he said.
"She's quite a well-known orca across the east coast. She was first sighted in 2009 from Eden and Jervis Bay, and has been sighted and photographed in 2012 and 2014."
