Moreton Bay City Council has threatened to call the police on homeless people if they do not leave the foreshore to make way for a food and wine festival.

The car park is within the footprint of the Moreton Bay Food and Wine Festival, which will take over the foreshore from Friday to Sunday.ABC Radio Brisbane: Kenji SatoA council spokesperson said rangers had told homeless people at the car park to relocate many times and well in advance of the event. Ms Adams said she moved to the car park three months ago out of fear for her safety following several late-night harassment incidents at a different car park.
"People do struggle, but you have to move forward, you have to save your money, you have to go to work. These are the things you have to do to get off the streets." He has since moved into the Brisbane City Council area, but hopes to return to Moreton Bay once the festival is over.A council spokesperson said the shortage of social houses in Moreton Bay was a "crisis" for the region.
