At least two homes have been destroyed at Mount Tomah as more than 2000 firefighters work into the night to contain 108 bush and grass fires burning across NSW, with 57 not yet contained
There will be total fire bans for the far North Coast, Central Ranges, New England, northern slopes and north-western areas on Monday, with many regions of NSW facing a "very high" fire danger.
Temperatures are set to reach 36 degrees around the city on Thursday, with western Sydney to hit the mid-40s as a heatwave sweeps across Australia.
