Two men are accused of breaking into several vehicles and taking numerous firearms and lots of cash.
is sending out a warning to vehicle owners after two suspects were arrested and charged with burglary of a motor vehicle.
Officials said on Sunday, the Houston Police Department Auto Theft Division officers, along with HPD Downtown Patrol Division Crime Suppression Unit officers, were conducting a proactive undercover operation regarding vehicle burglaries in the downtown area near Minute Maid Park. When Crime Suppression Team officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle, the suspects exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Thomas, the driver, was detained after a short foot pursuit. Emanuel, the passenger, exited the vehicle and fled on foot, dropping numerous firearms. He was detained after a short foot pursuit.
