The United Firefighters Union Victoria, a former ally of Daniel Andrews, has told Sky News Australia's Peta Credlin about the moment it was 'betrayed' and 'absolutely sold out' by his government.
A former union ally of Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has lifted the lid on how it was"betrayed" by his Labor state government.
United Firefighters Union Victorian Branch Secretary Peter Marshall told Sky News Australia's Peta Credlin how firefighters were"betrayed" by the Andrews Government. Picture: Aaron Francis / The Australian"How do you come to terms with the fact that you've been betrayed by the government who says they've supported firefighters?" he continued.
Graeme Murphy, an assistant chief fire officer, appeared in the campaign where he called on Mr Andrews"to reverse these changes to protect sick firefighters". "So they shouldn't have to be in a position where they're going to have battle an insurance company for a cancer that is related to the work they do."
Mr Marshall was asked by Ms Credlin on the point:"Do you think Daniel Andrews is the sort of guy that would do a factional deal?". "When they get an ambulance, the ambulance can't get the patient unloaded into the emergency department because they haven't got a bed in the hospital.
