"And it's important that Australian exporters, in response to that economic coercion, diversify their markets and business needs to build that resilience. "Over the last year, there were 30 million tonnes less coal that we exported to China yet we increased our exports of coal to other countries by 28 million tonnes," he said."We've seen barley exports to Saudi Arabia basically go from nothing to being quite substantial. We've seen increased wine exports to Singapore and Germany and other markets."

The historic free trade agreement with the United Kingdom, signed back in June, will further boost the number of markets Australian exporters have easy access to, with India also emerging as another key trading partner.
