The Victorian government has announced new stages for moving out of lockdown - and they apply to businesses too.
Below you'll find a building list of which industries fall into which category for which step. Previous announcements have shown there is often room for clarification and exceptions, so please check back as this story will be updated to reflect new information.Timing: Commences 11.59pm on September 13
RESTRICTED: Early education and child care; commercial passenger vehicles; public transport; veterinary services . HEAVILY RESTRICTED: Supermarket and food distribution; meat and seafood processing; hospitality; retail not on permitted workplace list; repairs, maintenance and cleaning with conditions; real estate; accommodation; media and film production; professional sport and racing; adult education; courts ; community facilities and libraries ; healthcare and social assistance; waste services.
CLOSED: Museums and galleries ; indoor entertainment venues ; nightclubs and karaoke; gaming and casinos; adult entertainment and brothels. OPEN WITH A COVID-SAFE PLAN: Construction; manufacturing; wholesale trade and warehousing; commercial passenger vehicles; postal distribution centres; Early education and child care; repairs, maintenance and cleaning with conditions; agriculture; permitted retail ; mining; ports and freight; utilities; emergency and safety services; defence and national security; public transport; veterinary services.CLOSED: No industries closed.
