A major contact tracing operation is underway after a COVID-positive taxi driver worked for 10 days while potentially infectious.
The man tested positive on Saturday and NSW Health says anyone who entered his taxi between 8 and 18 September should monitor for symptoms.
The locations include Campbelltown Golf Club in Glen Alpine on 16 September between 2pm and 4.30pm in the TAB area, and Milton Ulladulla Ex Servos Club on 12 September from 2 to 6.15pm. Casual contacts are considered to be those who attended Picnic Point Bowling Club on 18 September from 3pm to 6pm, and Campbelltown Gold Club in Glen Alpine on 16 September from 9.30am to 2pm.The state recorded just one locally acquired new case on Saturday, and two cases from returned travellers who are in quarantine.
"While the number of locally acquired cases recorded in the last 24 hours is low, the virus is likely still circulating among people in the community, with mild symptoms," Dr Jeremy McAnulty told reporters.
