The desperate search for a father who fell into a Queensland river has come to an end after human remains were located inside a crocodile.

The search for a man who was taken by a crocodile in front of his family in Far North Queensland has been called off after human remains were located inside a crocodile that was shot and killed on Monday.

Photo: Kim Andersen Queensland Police issued a devastating update on Tuesday, confirming human remains had been located inside a crocodile. “It is illegal to feed crocodiles in Queensland, and anyone with information about the deliberate feeding of crocodiles is encouraged to call 1300 130 372 and report the information. Reports can be made anonymously,” a department spokesperson said.
