A 63-year-old grandmother who went missing in February this year has been identified after her skeleton was found near a beach four months later.

Police have confirmed human remains found at a beach on the NSW Mid North Coast are those of a 63-year old Queensland grandmother.She was last seen on February 29 withdrawing cash from an ATM in Monto, 170 kilometres west of Bundaberg in Queensland.Officers have since obtained CCTV vision from about 2:30pm the same day about 400 kilometres south of Monto.

The vision shows her driving her silver 2007 two-door Mitsubishi Pajero with Queensland registration 645 TCZ along the Bruce Highway near Wild Horse Mountain on the Sunshine Coast.
