Heather Clark was in a fog of grief as she tried to navigate her way through finalising her husband's accounts and personal details after he died five months ago.
The four big banks were the first to sign on to the Australian Death Notification Service, while major telecommunications providers and the first utility provider, Sydney Water, will also join this month. Mr Dominello will urge NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian to discuss expanding the service at national cabinet. It will also be raised at the Australian Data and Digital Council meeting on Friday.
"We are using technology to put families at the centre of the process. The last thing they need during this difficult time is to be burdened with lots of paperwork. This is something most people go through and it shouldn’t be the case," he said.
