One Direction member Louis Tomlinson has penned an emotional tribute to his “brother' after his bandmate Liam Payne fatally fell from a hotel in Argentina.

“I am beyond devastated to be writing this but yesterday I lost a brother,” Tomlinson wrote on Thursday . Tomlinson, who maintained a loving friendship with Payne after the band went on an indefinite hiatus in 2016, stated that Payne was “the most vital part of One Direction”. Tomlinson also issued a direct message to his late friend: “A message to you Liam if you’re listening."
In the group statement, fellow One Direction members Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik said they had been left"devastated" by Payne's shock death.
