Reports claim the star singer fell to his death from a room on the third floor at CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Argentina's capital Buenos Aires.

Reports claim Cassidy left Argentina on October 14.
Payne re-auditioned as a solo artist in 2010 and was later grouped with Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan to form a boy band.The band was signed to Simon Cowell's record label Syco Entertainment in December 2010.
