A Queensland maths and physics teacher, who previously taught in the UK and China, allegedly told a student he loved her, that she should distance herself from her boyfriend, and that he would stay in the country if “the right girl” reciprocated his feelings.
He allegedly told the student he was moving overseas but would stay if “the right girl told him she felt the same”. “I can’t just leave without you knowing that I love you. Hopefully you won’t think it is necessary to tell people and make sure I can’t teach again,” he allegedly told the girl via Instagram.
“There’s so much I want to tell you ... I’ve never felt like this before. In the end I had to leave. I just couldn’t watch you two together anymore.
