Chinese Australians face controversial questions submitted by the public for the new series of You Can't Ask That, and reveal the expectations and challenges they face from their parents, peers and even strangers.

Jinghua, 34, said while some were critical about Beijing online, they were also worried if that would have repercussions for their relatives still in China.

"When you're there, don't talk about the political situation, don't talk back, and you're OK," he said. "In my childhood years, I definitely felt that Australia was a very, very racist place," Kristian said.As he grew up, he felt society become more inclusive.
