He appears grateful to be at a club of this size and for the opportunity Michael has given him. When teams are tiring, especially in Europe, and you can put someone like Matondo on, it can be so effective. He can be devastating when a game is wide open and stretched. He’s got the monkey off his back now by getting that first goal against PSV. He’ll feel like he can go on and get more. Michael will have worked out his role already, whether it’s as a starter or off the bench.
