Actor Will Smith says he is “deeply remorseful” at having slapped Chris Rock at the Academy Awards earlier this year and has reached out to the comedian to talk but was rebuffed.
“I am deeply remorseful,” Smith added. “I’m trying to be remorseful without being ashamed of myself. I’m a human, and I made a mistake.” “Chris, I apologise to you. My behaviour was unacceptable. And I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk,” Smith added.
